(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is investigating a shooting that occurred during the early morning hours on Friday, Feb. 28.
At around 2:37 a.m. on Friday, CSPD received a call for service of a shooting in the 1000 block of North Academy Boulevard, near Galley Road. Upon arrival at the scene, they were told a person had been shot and got into a car, then left the scene.
At 2:50 a.m., officers received another call from a hospital that said they had an individual with a gunshot wound. When officers arrived at the hospital, they were told the individual had succumbed to their injuries.
“At this point in our investigation this appears to be an isolated incident,” CSPD said.
