(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is looking for more people who may have been victimized by a man arrested for sexually assaulting an underage girl.
According to CSPD, the investigation began on Friday, July 26, following a report of a sexual assault on a child by a man the victim did not know. CSPD said the suspect initially contacted the girl near the 1900 block of South Chelton Road, west of Jet Wing Drive. The man then reportedly walked the girl back to his home nearby, where he sexually assaulted her.
CSPD said the investigation resulted in the arrest of a 37-year-old man, who was then charged with Sexual Assault on a Child. His name and photograph are not being released by CSPD, to protect the investigation.
The suspect is described as a white man, about 6’3″ tall and 170 pounds with a thin build. He has curly blond hair with a blond and brown beard.
CSPD said it has reason to believe that there could be more victims, and requests that anyone with information on this case call police at (719) 444-7000.
