(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that officers responded to a call about a stabbing that left the victim critically injured in the early morning hours of Sunday, June 29.
According to CSPD, around 2 a.m. on Sunday, emergency services arrived at the scene in the 1800 block of North Academy Boulevard, near Constitution Avenue, and found that a 31-year-old man had suffered a stab wound to his upper torso.
CSPD reported that the man was taken to the hospital and initially assessed with life-threatening internal injuries. Medical personnel were able to stabilize him, and he is expected to survive.
The investigation is in the early stages, and no suspects have been identified at this time, according to police.
