(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Officers from the Colorado Springs Police Department’s (CSPD) Sand Creek Division assisted the Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) with a fire near the intersection of Wooten Road and Geiger Boulevard, just off of Platte Avenue, on Sunday, Aug. 11, around 4:45 p.m.

According to CSPD, investigating officers found that a fire had been started behind a building. Once the fire was under control, officers began an investigation into the origin of the fire.

CSPD contacted a man, Brandon Hugney, and “developed probable cause to arrest him for Arson.”
