(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has released the identity of the suspect connected to a fatal shooting on Wednesday, May 1, near I-25 and South Nevada Avenue.
According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the scene, they found a man injured with at least one gunshot wound. He was taken to the hospital, where he died of his injuries. The man was later identified as 49-year-old Paul Cordova.
In June, investigators got an arrest warrant for 25-year-old Brendan Briggs for Murder in the Second Degree. He is currently being held in the California Department of Corrections on unrelated charges.
