(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is seeking additional victims in a child sexual assault investigation.
According to CSPD, police opened an investigation on Dec. 17, 2024 into allegations of sexual assault on a child by 69-year-old Terry Simerly. CSPD said the investigation revealed that Simerly had allegedly engaged in sexual contact with three minors.
On Dec. 26, detectives obtained an arrest warrant for Simerly on multiple counts of sexual assault on a child by one in a position of trust. Simerly was taken into custody the same day and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
Crimes Against Children (CAC) detectives are now actively seeking any additional information, including potential unreported incidents involving Simerly, and believe there could be additional victims.
