CSPD: Stolen vehicle driven into store during burglary

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that on Saturday, Aug. 24, around 4 a.m., officers responded to a business on South Academy Boulevard for a call about a burglary in progress.

According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the 200 block of South Academy Boulevard, near Pikes Peak Avenue, they found that the suspects had accessed the building by crashing a stolen vehicle into the storefront. The suspects allegedly stole merchandise and an unknown number of firearms.

CSPD said that no suspects have been identified at this time, it is an ongoing investigation and ATF has been notified.
