(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Tuesday, Feb. 5, the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) responded to a call in which a man reported that he had stabbed his roommate in a home near downtown.

According to CSPD, around 9 p.m. on Tuesday, 21-year-old Jason Crade-Fontana called 911 from a home in the 800 block of East Boulder Street, near East Platte Avenue and Wahsatch Avenue, reporting that he had stabbed his roommate. When officers arrived, they found a man’s body inside the home.

CSPD reported that Crade-Fontana was taken into custody and later booked into the El Paso County Jail for Murder in the first degree. The CSPD Homicide Unit took over the investigation.
