(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) reported that officers responded to a call late night Friday, Aug. 23, about an assault outside a business on South Academy Boulevard near Astrozon Boulevard, where five people were attacking one.
According to CSPD, when officers arrived at the scene on the 2500 block of Academy around 11:30 p.m., they found the victim who was then taken to the hospital for the injuries received in the attack. Through investigation, CSPD discovered that the attack was a robbery and property was stolen from the victim during the assault.
CSPD reported that while police were investigating, four of the suspects returned. One ran away from the police but was caught. Three adults, identified as Xzavier Jaramillo, Alizah Starks, and Ryan Smith were arrested for aggravated robbery. The fourth suspect was underage and was served with other charges and released.
