(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) is investigating a crash that left two people dead.

On Sunday, June 29, CSPD was notified of a vehicle vs. motorcycle crash in the 4600 block of Austin Bluffs Parkway, near Barnes Road. Emergency personnel arrived on scene and determined that the motorcycle rider and the passenger were dead.

The driver of the car remained on scene. The initial investigation shows that the motorcycle was traveling eastbound on Austin Bluffs Parkway, and the vehicle was attempting to turn left onto Austin Bluffs from a business parking lot.

The Major Crash Team responded to the scene and assumed responsibility for the investigation, which remains active and is ongoing.
