(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said a victim is being treated for non-life-threatening injuries after an attempted carjacking and shooting in the overnight hours of Friday, Aug. 16.
CSPD said on Friday at around 1:30 a.m. police responded to a call about a shooting in the 500 block of South Circle Drive near Airport Road. Before police arrived the shooting victim was taken to the hospital by associates.
“Investigation on scene showed the suspects attempting to carjack the victim who was shot as he drove away,” wrote police.
Police said the victim received care for non-life-threatening injuries.
