(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Tuesday, Feb. 18, Colorado Springs School District 11 (D11) announced that students at participating schools would receive no-cost lunch and breakfast for the 2024-2025 school year.
According to the district, the lunches will be provided through the Community Eligibility Provision (CEP) and the National School Lunch Program. The district said the meal offerings better support student learning because kids who aren’t hungry perform better in school.
Lunch and breakfast (at schools that provide breakfast) will be offered to houses with incomes that qualify:

Children from families whose income is at or below the levels shown are eligible for free or reduced-price meals. Families will need to provide family income information to help secure state and federal funding that supports meal programs and additional student resources. D11 said lunch and breakfast at schools that serve Breakfast will be provided free to all students at schools participating in the National School Lunch Program in the 2024-2025 school year regardless of household income.
