FOX31 will stream the press conference here live at 11 a.m. Monday.

DENVER (KDVR) — The University of Colorado Buffaloes head coach Deion Sanders is holding a press conference, reportedly with his medical staff, on Monday following his ongoing health issues.

CU Boulder announced that Sanders is holding the first press conference of 2025 camp on Monday at 11 a.m., where he is set to “provide updates.” While it’s unclear what this press conference is about, the university said he will be joined by his medical team.

CU Boulder community wishing Coach Prime a speedy recovery

This press conference comes after ongoing questions about Coach Prime’s health. In June, Sanders was reportedly at his Texas home with an “unspecified health issue.” While Sanders has struggled with his left foot since having two toes amputated in 2021 because of blood clot issues, he hasn’t spoken about his health issues.

After not attending some football camps in Boulder, Sanders took to social media in June saying that “everything is OKAY” despite his extended absence, but he will provide updates when he is back in Boulder.

Now, he is providing updates, but it’s unclear if he will be speaking about his medical issues. When Sanders made an appearance on the second day of the Big 12 Media Days, he refused to talk about his health and only focused on the Buffs’ upcoming season.

Sanders has said he is coming back, and he recently signed a $10 million base salary contract extension through the 2029 season after turning around the program.

The Buffs are about a month out from opening the season at home versus the Georgia Tech Yellow Jackets on Aug. 29.
