(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — A man was arrested after leading deputies on a foot chase and eventually being tased in Pueblo during the early morning hours on Sunday, Aug. 18.
According to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), deputies were patrolling around 2:45 a.m. in the area of Pueblo West when they spotted a parked SUV near Liberty Point, north of Lake Pueblo. PCSO said deputies tried to approach the two people in the car, a man and a 33-year-old woman, and the man initially refused to identify himself.
Through its communication center, deputies were able to independently identify the man as 26-year-old Alejandro Saiz, who was wanted on two Contempt of Court warrants, including one for a previous weapon possession offense.
When deputies tried to arrest Saiz, PCSO said he ran off, leading deputies on a chase. PCSO said deputies gave numerous commands for Saiz to stop, and when he did not comply, deputies used a tazer to stop him. He was taken into custody without further incident and booked into the Pueblo County Jail.
