Detectives: Man sentenced in Pueblo County child sexual assault case

(PUEBLO COUNTY, Colo.) — A man has been sentenced to the Colorado Department of Corrections (CDOC) after taking a plea deal in a child sexual assault case that was investigated by detectives with the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO).

33-year-old Peter Sigel was sentenced on Monday, Aug. 11, to the following terms:

Six years in the CDOC, with two years of mandatory probation for pleading guilty to Criminal Attempt Sexual Assault on a Child.

Three years in the CDOC with one year of mandatory parole after accepting a plea to a second charge of Sexual Assault (10-year Age Difference).

Sigel was arrested on a warrant on March 13, 2024, for sexual assault on a child and sexual exploitation of a child. Since his arrest, he has been in the Pueblo County Jail.
