DOLA announces next round of rental assistance

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The next round of rental assistance is going to be available soon, the Department of Local Affairs (DOLA) announced Thursday, June 20.

Starting at 11 a.m. on June 25, the public can pre-apply online for rental assistance. The submission period will last until 5 p.m. on June 27, at which point DOLA will make a random selection to distribute funds to those who applied. People facing evictions will be prioritized.

Applicants can find out whether they are eligible for rental assistance by going to DOLA’s rental assistance webpage. Applicants will be led through an easy and quick process to create an account, after which they can securely apply.

“For many Coloradans, rental assistance is not just a lifeline — it’s a beacon of hope,” said Maria De Cambra, Executive Director of DOLA. “As we announce the continuation of our program, we are ensuring that Coloradans have access to the support they need for the stability to stay in their homes.”
