(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The City of Colorado Springs has announced that a small section of East Costilla Street will be closed for at least two months beginning Monday, Nov. 10.
Starting Monday, the portion of East Costilla Street immediately east of the intersection with South Wahsatch Avenue will close in order to remove an unused railroad bridge. The City estimates that if the weather permits, the work should be accomplished by Jan. 30.

The official release from the City states that the bridge is in poor condition, requiring complete removal to keep travelers safe. Drivers will need to find detours, like Pikes Peak Avenue to the north, or Fountain Boulevard to the south.
