(COLORADO SPRINGS) — It’s a night of hope, healing, and second chances. The annual Boots and Bling Gala supports Elite Equine Rescue which is a non-profit organization that provides sanctuary for horses who can no longer serve in their previous roles and face the risk of being discarded, neglected, or abused.

This year’s gala is Saturday, Dec. 7 and it holds special significance as it commemorates the completion of the Green Mountain Falls Horse Wellness Meadow, a new facility dedicated to helping performance horses recuperate and transition to new careers. The evening will also feature a special performance by Grayson Little, a contestant on American Idol in Season 17.

Gina Hluska, President and Founder of Elite Equine Rescue joined FOX21 Morning News Friday, Dec. 6 to talk about the event and the organization and shared that the money from this event will go towards a two-year-old filly, who needs surgery for a fractured knee.

Little joined her and gave a sneak peek at his performance.
