(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — Local artists have the chance to explore their spooky side and submit a design for the 31st Annual Emma Crawford Coffin Race T-shirt Design for the chance to become the featured artist on the commemorative t-shirt.

Submit files of artwork online here by 5 p.m. on Friday, July 29, where it will be reviewed by Visit Manitou Springs before being voted on by the public starting Aug. 1.

The winner will receive $100 in Manitou Money that can be spent at Manitou Springs businesses, two coffin race t-shirts featuring their design, 2 VIP tickets to watch the races firsthand, and their name will be announced from the stage on race day.

Contest Guidelines:

The primary subject matter should be coffin race or Emma Crawford related.

All entries must be original.

AI can not be used in any part of this creation.

The contest is open to artists of all ages.

There is no entry fee.

Artwork Specifications:

Submit digital designs as a singular JPEG, TIFF, AI, PSD, or PDF file.

It must be no bigger than 12” x 18” with a resolution of 300 DPI.

The background must be transparent or plain.

Artwork submitted on lined paper will not be accepted.

The 31st Annual Emma Crawford Coffin Race will be on Saturday, Oct. 25, in Manitou Springs.
