(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Love is in the air as Valentine’s Day approaches, and the El Paso County Clerk and Recorder’s Office is giving couples an opportunity to celebrate themselves.

The Recording Department, located at 1675 W. Garden of the Gods Road, will host Vows and Valentines on Friday, Feb. 14., to celebrate couples receiving their marriage or license, and preparing for their upcoming wedding.

The event will offer photo opportunities and treats for couples, their friends, and family.

All couples are required to fill out the online marriage application before going to the Recorder’s Office. Individuals must pay the $30 application fee and bring a valid form of identification, such as a driver’s license, passport, or birth certificate. For those who need copies, each certified copy is $1.25.

For the couples who are planning to prepare for their upcoming wedding, the Recorder’s Office reminds them that the ceremony day must be within 35 days of receiving the license.
