(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — The El Paso County Sheriff’s Office (EPSO) has confirmed the arrest of a man and a woman who both had multiple active arrest warrants on Monday, Oct. 13.
EPSO reports that just after midnight on Oct. 13, deputies found a car that they believed to have been involved in a vehicular eluding incident earlier the same day at the Travelodge Hotel on Space Village Avenue.

According to EPSO, the patrol deputies determined the car was connected to Patrick Duffy, 42, who had several active felony warrants for his arrest. Deputies were able to contact Duffy in his hotel room at the Travelodge and brought him into custody without incident.
A woman inside the hotel room gave EPSO a fake name, but deputies were able to identify her as Amber Adams, 29, who also had active arrest warrants. EPSO says that Adams tried to run from the scene, but was quickly caught. During her arrest, Adams kicked and struck a deputy with her elbow before ultimately being taken into custody.
Both Duffy and Adams were transported and booked into the El Paso County Jail.
In addition to her warrants, Adams has been charged with Second-Degree Assault on a Peace Officer, False Reporting, Resisting Arrest, and Obstructing Government Operations. She is being held on a $10,000 bond, while Duffy is being held without bond.
“This incident is another example of our deputies’ professionalism and commitment to safely apprehending dangerous individuals. Assaulting my deputies will never be tolerated. Their actions prevented further harm and ensured these wanted fugitives were taken off the streets,” said El Paso County Sheriff Joseph Roybal.
