(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Since 1930, the Evans Scholarship has sent thousands of young men and women to college on a full tuition and housing college scholarship.

This year, Colorado Springs native, Joy Gregory, was awarded the Evans Scholarship and plans to attend the University of Colorado at Boulder in hopes to become a veterinarian.

Evans Scholars are sent to 24 leading universities nationwide. 

Gregory joins two other scholars from The Broadmoor Golf Club who will also be attending CU Boulder.

Over the years, The Broadmoor has had the most scholars out of any club in the state.
