Events, games and concerts: it’s all happening at Weidner Field

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Switchbacks FC home opener kicks off on March 16 against Detroit FC and soccer isn’t the only thing coming to Weidner Field.

Lee Reijgers, Switchbacks FC Director of Sales for Catering and Events shared a packed event lineup with Nova on Monday’s show, including Dead Man’s Brewfest, which will be held at Weidner Field in partnership with iHeart on Sept. 21.

At the Brewfest, which will take over the entire stadium and field, will be hand-selected beers, liquors, and wine. Last year, the event made history, becoming the most successful Brewfest, raising money for the Boys & Girls Club.

For the fitness community, the Wellness Festival at Weidner Field will take place on Saturday, Aug. 10 from 7 a.m. until 12 p.m. The day will begin with a 5K, 10K, and half marathon race, followed by music and a yoga session in the early morning.

The festival will also host many wellness opportunities for patrons that are both active and informational and will cover a wide range of topics. Last year, the festival was a huge success with more than 1,200 attendees, 525 runners, and 115 vendor partners.

Lastly, Jason Aldean will be headlining Weidner Field in concert on July 19, 2024.

After successful years of concert lineups that featured headline acts; AJR, Cody Johnson, Sam Hunt, Justin Moore, Old Dominion, and Incubus, Switchbacks Entertainment is excited to announce Jason Aldean as the first headline artist of the 2024 concert series.

Concerts at Weidner Field are a unique experience that features stadium seating and on-field standing room, while still maintaining an intimate feel for both artists and concertgoers alike, all while taking in the beautiful scenery of downtown Colorado Springs, Garden of the Gods, and Pikes Peak in the open-air venue
