(COLORADO SPRINGS) — According to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), the crash at South Academy Boulevard and Astrozon Boulevard has resulted in a fatality.

Academy Boulevard remains closed.

A crash has closed South Academy Boulevard at Astrozon Boulevard and emergency crews are asking the public to avoid the area.

The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) posted on X (formerly Twitter) just before 2:15 p.m. on Tuesday, April 2, and said traffic is shut down between Astrozon and El Morro Road.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department warned drivers to avoid the area as crews work.
