(FORT CARSON, Colo.) — A fire is burning on Fort Carson and smoke is visible in Colorado Springs, according to an official from the Mountain Post.

The official said the fire is about 100-200 acres and burning in the large impact area. The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) also said the smoke would be visible due to current wind patterns, but asked that the public refrain from calling 911 unless they see active fire.

CSFD added that you may smell the smoke, but assured the community that there are no fire burning within the city.
