(EL PASO COUNTY, Colo.) — Starting Tuesday, July 8, construction work will begin on Fontaine Boulevard to allow for the extension of a water main.

Due to the construction, Fontaine Boulevard will close where the road intersects with both Marksheffel Road and Powers Boulevard. The water main extension is for the new development north of Fontaine Boulevard.

The closure is expected to last two days, weather dependent.

Drivers are reminded to reduce speeds in and around work zones. Watch for workers, equipment, signs, and barricades.
