Fourth man connected to burglary ring arrested

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said on Wednesday, May 14, a fourth suspect related to a series of burglaries was arrested, and the day before, many stolen items were recovered in a storage facility.

According to CSPD, on Friday, May 9, investigators executed search warrants and took three men, identified as Neybin Arias Rivas, Oscar Lobo Castillo, and Darwin Salas Rodriguez, into custody. The men are accused of being part of a burglary ring that had more than 50 cases in El Paso County and cities such as Colorado Springs, Lone Tree, Castle Pines, Parker, Castle Rock, Monument, Fountain, and Pueblo.

On Tuesday, May 13, police searched a storage facility and found numerous appliances, tools, and construction materials stolen in additional burglaries and thefts related to the investigation. On Wednesday, May 14, Burglary Unit detectives arrested Darlin Josue Hernandez Vega as a suspect related to the burglary pattern and took him into custody without incident.

CSPD said the investigation is ongoing.
