(PUEBLO, Colo.) — The Junior League of Pueblo will be hosting its seventh annual “Holiday with Heroes” event to bring local heroes and the youth of Pueblo together to make holiday crafts.
The event will take place on Saturday, Dec. 7 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. on the fourth floor of the Rawlings Library. The event invites local police, EMTs, firefighters, teachers, doctors, veterans, and other remarkable men and women to make holiday crafts alongside Pueblo’s youth.
The holiday crafts include:
Crafts
Cookie Decorating
Photos with Santa
Letters to Santa
And more
The event is open to the public and free for all members of the Pueblo community. Any donations collected will go towards the Junior League of Pueblo’s cause and towards the purchase of “Sweet Cases” for local foster agencies.
The “Sweet Case” program started over a decade ago with the aim of ensuring that children can move from placement to their forever home with dignity, replacing their trash bags with something that provides kids with a blanket, stuffed animal, crayons, activity book, and a hygiene kit.
The Junior League of Pueblo said Matlin Injury Law, the City of Pueblo, Pueblo Serenity Day Spa, and the Pueblo City-County Library District support the event.
