DETAILS: 40th Annual Festival of Lights Parade in downtown Colorado Springs

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The 40th Annual Festival of Lights Parade is set to take over downtown Colorado Springs on Saturday, Dec. 7 beginning at 5:50 p.m.

The parade, which takes place on Tejon Street begins at Boulder Street and goes south on Tejon to Vermijo Avenue.

Prior to the parade, the U.S. Olympic and Paralympic Museum will be hosting its Winter Celebration from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. and the Pioneer’s Museum will also be hosting its Family Fun Day from 2 p.m. to 6 p.m.

Don’t forget to check out ‘Tuba Christmas’ at Acacia Park beginning at 3:30 p.m. and enjoy a delicious bite to eat at the Food Truck Villages from 1 p.m. to 9 p.m. outside the Pioneer’s Museum.

According to the Festival of Lights Parade website, parking will be free on Dec. 7 at the following parking garages:

Bijou/Cascade parking garage – 215 North Cascade Avenue

Nevada/Colorado parking garage – 130 South Nevada Avenue

Kiowa/Nevada parking garage  – 127 East Kiowa Street
