Groundbreaking held for new aerospace center

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Industry leaders gathered in Colorado Springs on Monday, Aug. 19 to break ground on a new aerospace business center.

The new 32,000-square-foot industrial and retail space is set to become a premier location for aerospace companies, offering advanced facilities and a strategic location to support industry growth.

Phase 1 of the project could be completed by April 2025, and the center’s goal is to have tenants operational by or before January 2026.

“I think some of the really exciting things for us is the amount of innovation and progress within the aerospace community that this project can serve,” said Charlie McLean, the Director of Business Development at ARCO/Murray, the general contractor on the project. “But it’s just mind-boggling of how much you can really help with that industry.”

Located at the intersection of Bradley Road and Foreign Trade Zone Boulevard, the center is situated near the Colorado Springs Airport and Peterson Space Force Base. Construction is expected to start later this August.
