(CALHAN, Colo.) — Grab the kids and head to the Wishing Star Farm Fall Festival and Pumpkin Patch this October! It’s outdoor fun with pumpkins, hayrides, and maybe a few cheeky animals to help you soak in the magic of the season.
Wishing Star Farm has been providing petting zoos and farm activities for over 20 years. Owner Jason Wood showed FOX21’s Krista Witiak around the farm, giving her a glimpse of why this annual fall festival and pumpkin patch are always a hit for southern Coloradans this time of year.
There are a variety of activities for all ages to enjoy, including a pumpkin patch, farm animal petting zoo, jumping pillow and bounce houses, hay ride, barrel train ride, hay slide and hay pyramid, corn bin, sandboxes, fire truck playground area, and much more.
“Growing up in Colorado, fall is my favorite time of year. We really enjoy seeing families come out to the farm and spend time laughing and playing together,” Wood said when asked about his favorite part.
Pumpkins cost $7 each at the pumpkin patch and variable pricing for specialty pumpkins.
Tickets can be purchased on the website (www.wishingstarfarm.com). Family pack tickets and other discounts not offered at the gate are also available.
