(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Multiple staff members at the Humane Society of the Pikes Peak Region (HSPPR) came together to help a snake that had slithered himself into a bit of a situation.
According to a post on HSPPR’s Facebook page, the snake was exploring his owner’s car when he suddenly found himself stuck. HSPPR said the snake had become wedged between the car seat and the armrest!
The owner drove straight to HSPPR, where Animal Law Enforcement (ALE) was ready to tackle this unusual dilemma. HSPPR said ALE Sergeant Langford began working on loosening the seat while Call Center Supervisor Jennifer led the “snake-wrangling.”
With the help of multiple staff members, this seriously stuck snake was pulled to freedom.
“This unexpected emergency got team members from different departments stepping in to help,” HSPPR said in its Facebook post.
HSPPR said the rescue was a prime example of the care that its employees have for all animals, from the scaley to the scruffy.
