Local public meeting to fight human trafficking Mar. 12

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Human Trafficking Task Force of Southern Colorado is holding a meeting on Tuesday, Mar. 12, 2024, and would like to invite the public to attend.

These meetings are held every second Tuesday of the month at 5:45 p.m. at Reclaiming Hope, located at 615 Wooten Rd., Suite 140, Colorado Springs, CO 80915.

This month’s meeting features Amanda Finger, who is the Executive Director and Co-Founder of the Laboratory to Combat Human Trafficking. She will be talking about The Colorado Project 2023 Report and Action Plan which provides an assessment of the current anti-trafficking efforts in Colorado.

Amanda Finger is a long-time advocate against human trafficking. She has taught human trafficking and women’s health courses, and engaged in health advocacy in Washington, DC. She has been a part of Congressional campaign organizing and served as a Legislative Aide for the Colorado General Assembly. She has also done field research on human trafficking and forced migration in Johannesburg, South Africa.
