DENVER (KDVR) — In the town of Sedalia, there is a castle with a centuries-old look. However, it has some of the most modern additions that are worth millions.
The house, known as Shook Castle, was named by the family that built it. As the tradition goes, the listing on LIV Sotheby’s International Realty said the castle will keep its name through the sale as is customary in castle ownership.
The structure, which has a gothic look, was built in 2012 — but it still has some of the most iconic castle features. On the outside, the house has towers and a design similar to battlements and a wall with open spaces that is known for protecting during an attack.
Unlike medieval times, this house lies in the gated community of Bear’s Den on an over 15-acre property. It comes with modern novelties like a theater room, greenhouse, game room, wet bar and fitness room.
Here’s a look inside:
The house comes with five bedrooms, four full bathrooms and three partial bathrooms.
The listing includes unique features of the house, like the Oklahoma Red Granite, which is used inside and out, a barrel-shaped brick ceiling in the dining room, several countertops made out of railroad car floors and a pond.
In total, it’s listed for $6.9 million.
