Loveland Pass closed due to landslide: CDOT

DENVER (KDVR) — A mountain slide has closed U.S. 6 over Loveland Pass Sunday morning, with no estimated reopening time, according to the Colorado Department of Transportation.

CDOT initially reported the slide at around 5:30 a.m., saying it was 100 feet wide, 15-20 feet deep and still active. According to a 9:45 a.m. update, the slide was still active.

Officials asked people to stay away from the area since it is still active.

Access to Arapahoe Basin Ski Area was still open, according to CDOT.
