(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Saturday, June 14, the Westside Community Center hosted its second annual community “Saleabration” block party.
The free family event, a part of the city’s 1,000 neighborhood gatherings initiative, featured a community-wide yard sale, swap meet, food trucks, live music, and more.
“We’ve got three different bands playing right now,” said Justin Trudeau, a volunteer. “We’ve got Chuck and Friends playing. We’ve got some yard games, cornhole, that sort of affair. Inside, we’ve got a plant swap. I saw some spider plants in there. Raspberries, hops, lilacs, and then some houseplants as well. I also saw seeds and stuff in there, lots of great booths here.”
The Westside Community Center offers a variety of programs and activities to build a stronger, more connected neighborhood.
