(PUEBLO WEST, Colo.) — A 62-year-old man from Pueblo West has been sentenced to probation for shooting a teen who was riding an ATV in June of 2023.
According to the Pueblo County Sheriff’s Office (PCSO), John Kosovich was sentenced to five years probation after he was charged with Second Degree Assault.
Kosovich was arrested on Sept. 25, 2023, after he was identified by PCSO detectives as a suspect in the shooting, in which a teen was shot in the chest and had to be taken to a hospital in Denver.

The teen was riding an ATV with a group in an easement in the area of Platteville Boulevard and Littleton Drive in Pueblo West on June 18, 2023, when the shooting occurred.
PCSO said the teen is recovering from their injuries.
