Manitou Springs FD to conduct fire training exercise

(MANITOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — Individuals may see some extra activity near the City as the Manitou Springs Fire Department (MSFD) conducts a training on Tuesday evening, June 10.

From 6 p.m. to 9 p.m., MSFD will conduct a scheduled wildland fire training exercise in Deer Valley Park, located off Highway 24. Individuals may see smoke or fire equipment in the area due to the scheduled training.

“Please be advised that this is a planned training and not an emergency,” wrote the City of Manitou Springs. “The exercise is part of the department’s ongoing efforts to maintain readiness for wildfire response.”
