Motorcyclist killed in crash at Hawk Wind Drive identified

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) said the motorcyclist killed in a crash on Saturday, May 31, was identified as 18-year-old Dylan Davis by the El Paso County Coroner’s Office.

According to CSPD, on Saturday, around 5:20 p.m., police were called to a crash involving a vehicle and a motorcycle at the intersection of Peterson Road and Hawk Wind Drive near Dublin Boulevard. The rider of the motorcycle, later identified as Davis, was taken to the hospital due to life-threatening injuries, and upon arrival, succumbed to his injuries.

Due to the nature of the crash, the Major Crash Team responded to investigate the scene. Police said it learned that the motorcycle was heading north on Peterson Rd, passing through Hawk Wind Dr., when the motorcycle collided with the Honda, ejecting the rider of the motorcycle onto the roadway.

CSPD said this is the 15th traffic fatality in 2025; at this same time last year, there were 24 deaths in Colorado Springs.
