Manitou Springs Pridefest returns with first-ever parade

(MANTIOU SPRINGS, Colo.) — The Manitou Springs Pridefest is returning for it’s third year but this year, for the first time, there will be a parade.

Kittie Kilner, Director of Manitou Springs Pridefest, and Majesti Zahara, Director of Entertainment for the event, joined FOX21 Morning News on Tuesday, June 25th to tell people what they can expect.

The event starts with an opening night show at Persephone Grae’s on 819 Mantiou Avenue Friday, June 28th at 8 p.m. The following day, the first Manitou Springs Pridefest parade will begin at 10 a.m. at Pawnee Avenue and Manitou Avenue and march through downtown to Soda Springs Park where the Pridefest event takes place starting at 11 a.m.

Pridefest will feature a full day of entertainment with two drag show, live music, poetry and more. There will also be a rainbow market featuring over 30 local vendors and community organization. Kilner said the event is for all ages and celebrates love always winning.
