“Millionaire’s Row” mansion for sale on Old North End

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — A historic mansion built on what was once known as “Millionaire’s Row” is for sale in Colorado Springs, and you might be surprised how few hands it has passed through since it was built around the turn of the 20th century.

Built in 1912, Sharp Mansion was named after its original owner, Arthur G. Sharp, who was one of the founders of Exchange National Bank. The mansion is located in the historic Old North End of Colorado Springs, once known as Millionaire’s Row, off of Cascade Avenue.

According to a fact sheet from Sotheby’s, the property has been lovingly preserved throughout the years and modernization has been thoughtful and discreet, as necessary to update the home. Among those updates are a stunning kitchen with gas range and an extensive security system.

Sharp Mansion has only had four owners in its century-long existence, and was the headquarters for the American Red Cross and the UnitedFund (now United Way).

The home boasts nine bedrooms, seven fireplaces, six full and two partial bathrooms, and totals nearly 15,000 square feet. Outside on the .87 acre lot, you can find pickleball courts, an original carriage house with three additional bedrooms, multiple fountains, mountain views, and a preserved greenhouse.
