(COLORADO SPRINGS) — It was a very snowy start to Thursday, Jan. 30, bringing rough and hazardous conditions for drivers. FOX21 News Storm Team Meteorologist Ryan Matoush shared videos of the snowstorm early Thursday morning along with the FOX21 News photojournalists.
FOX21 News photojournalists were on the roads Thursday morning and shared photos of the conditions in Southern Colorado. Roads showed signs of heavy snow and visibility appeared low during the snowstorm. Snowplows were out on the roads and crews at the Colorado Springs Airport were seen working to keep the roads and runways as clear as possible.
Meteorologist Ryan Matoush said wind-driven snow was a big issue in the morning and shared a video of the conditions which caused visibility concerns for drivers at 4 a.m. on Thursday.
Later Thursday morning, Ryan was in northern El Paso County outside of Children’s Hospital and shared a video showing that conditions were poor and said visibility at his location was less than half a mile.
