(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD) has released the identity of a motorcyclist who died in a crash in the 800 block of Centennial Boulevard in the early morning hours of Thursday, Sept. 18.
According to CSPD, around 4:45 a.m. on Sept. 18, officers responded to the scene on Centennial, near I-25, where a motorcycle had been involved in a crash and the rider had been injured. Medical personnel responded and attempted life-saving measures, but he was pronounced dead at the scene.
The Major Crash Team took over the investigation and discovered that excessive speed appears to be a factor in the crash.

CSPD reported that this was the 43rd traffic fatality of 2025 and the 20th motorcycle fatality of the year. At this time in 2024, there were 39 fatalities.
