Motorcyclist who sped from Springs to Denver arrested

(DALLAS, Texas) — A Youtuber who filmed himself speeding in excess of 150 mph from Colorado Springs to Denver in 20 minutes has been arrested in Texas, according to the 4th Judicial District Attorney’s (DA) Office.

In a press release, the DA’s Office said the Colorado State Patrol (CSP) conducted an investigation, with assistance from the Dallas Police Department, and identified Rendon Dietzmann as the motorcyclist involved. A warrant was issued for his arrest on suspicion of multiple crimes, including:

Menacing

Engaging in Speed Contest

Reckless Endangerment

Reckless Driving

Speeding 40 or more mph over the speed limit

Engaging in Exhibition of Speed

Operating a Vehicle with No Number Plates

Dietzmann was arrested in Denton County, Texas on Feb. 7 on CSP’s extraditable warrant. The process to bring Dietzmann back to El Paso County, Colorado is now underway, the DA’s Office said.

Dietzmann’s first court appearance in El Paso County will be scheduled following the completion of his extradition.
