(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Multiple people were taken to the hospital after a crash on Sunday, April 7, and according to the Colorado Springs Police Department (CSPD), several factors are being considered in the crash.

CSPD said on Sunday at around 12:15 p.m. police began receiving multiple calls about a serious crash involving four vehicles at the intersection of East Woodmen Road and North Union Boulevard.

The Colorado Springs Fire Department (CSFD) said multiple units responded including; HazMat, a Medical Lieutenant, and AMR. Multiple people were taken to the hospital, including one person who was in critical condition.

The intersection of E. Woodmen Rd. and N. Union Blvd. was closed while police investigated. CSPD said speed, red light running and drugs are all considered factors in the crash.
