Celebrate National Library Week with PPLD

(COLORADO SPRINGS) — The Pikes Peak Library District (PPLD) is joining libraries nationwide in celebrating National Library Week, which kicked off Sunday and goes through April 13. This week recognizes the value that libraries bring to our daily lives through their vast collection of books, resources, and services.

FOX21’s Krista Witiak kicks off the Pikes Peak Library District’s Open Houses at the first one of the week: East Library.

Library Open House 2024 Schedule

Ready, set, library! During National Library Week 2024, explore all the PPLD libraries during Open House. Many people have library cards but don’t know everything they can enjoy at the library. This is the time to tour the spaces, meet the staff, leadership team, and board, and learn more about your library.

The Open Houses will take place from April 8 to April 13. There will be an open house every day, starting on Monday, April 8, at 10 a.m. at East Library on Union and ending on Saturday, April 13, with three open houses: Fountain Library, Library 21c, and Sand Creek Library.
