(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Colorado Springs Airport (COS) is welcoming a new airline to its lineup, and starting in 2025, bringing three new routes to COS.
Allegiant Travel Company will be the fifth airline to serve the local airport. Starting in February, individuals will be able to take three different routes to Florida, California, and Arizona. The new routes include:
Phoenix/Mesa, Arizona via Phoenix-Mesa Gateway Airport (AZA), starts Feb. 12.
Santa Ana/Orange County, California via John Wayne Airport (SNA), starts Feb. 13.
St. Pete/Tampa, Florida via Pete-Clearwater International Aiport (PIE), starts Feb. 14.
“We are thrilled to announce the arrival of Allegiant in our market,” said Greg Phillips, Director of Aviation for COS. “Our community has long expressed a desire for convenient and low-cost travel options to Florida, Southern California, and other avenues to Phoenix. Now, with our new partners at Allegiant, that wish is coming true, opening new possibilities for adventure and connection for our community and the surrounding areas.”
Introductory rates for some of these routes begin as low as $49 for one-way fares.
This is one of Allegiant’s largest expansions in history, as they also expanded to Gulf Shores International Airport and Columbia Metropolitan Airport in addition to COS.
“We’re excited to announce that Allegiant is expanding nationwide, offering even more travel options to our customers,” said Drew Wells, Allegiant’s chief commercial officer. “These additions reflect our ongoing commitment to meet customer demand. By connecting more cities, we’re making it easier for travelers to visit family and friends, access top leisure destinations, and create new memories. Our research shows that customers increasingly want affordability and convenience when they fly. Our low-cost fares and nonstop flights make Allegiant a top choice for leisure travelers.”
Denver International Airport (DIA) also received two new routes to Idaho Falls and Stockton, California which will begin in late May.
