Pikes Peak Ranger District to conduct pile burning

(TELLER COUNTY, Colo.) — The Teller County Sheriff’s Office, (TCSO) announced that the Pikes Peak Ranger District plans to conduct pile-burning operations on Tuesday, Nov. 19, off Forest Service Roads 300 and 307A, east of Woodland Park and North of Rampart Reservoir.

According to TCSO, smoke dispersion levels are expected to be excellent by Tuesday afternoon, and the plan is to burn 1,000 piles in accordance with the smoke permit. Smoke may be visible along the US-24 corridor from Woodland Park.
