(COLORADO SPRINGS) — Single and ready to mingle? Well, there’s a new dating app in Colorado Springs. Mixer is a Colorado Springs–based dating and social service that connects people through curated, in-person events instead of endless swiping. The company does thorough background checks and hosts monthly in-person meet-ups. The first public event was early this month and drew great reviews.
Founder Heather Heinbaugh joined Loving Living Local host Justin Antweil to discuss how this new app is going to make dating in 2025 and beyond a lot easier.
“We put safety first,” said Heather. “Our members go through a criminal background check. We’re local and we are community-driven, meaning we partner with local businesses and venues. We are human, we make human connections.”
November will feature two events. The ‘Puppy Love Singles Mixer’ is happening on Nov. 8 at 1684 21st Street in Colorado Springs. There’s also an event happening on Nov. 13 at Ristorante Di Sopra. For more information, click here.
“It’s hard and lonely swiping through online dating apps,” said Heather. “But don’t give up, you deserve a connection, so let Mixer help. Stop swiping and start living.”
