(COLORADO SPRINGS) — On Monday, June 17 PepsiCo Beverages North America (PBNA) is hosting a grand opening of a new 115,000-square-foot distribution facility in Colorado Springs.
PBNA said the new facility located near Colorado Springs Airport, will quadruple its inventory capacity, allowing the company to provide beverages for the Colorado area for years to come. The facility will also feature technologies to help PBNA’s sustainability goals such as:
Solar power will be used to charge delivery fleet pallet jacks
A roof to allow for further solar expansion
LED motion-controlled light fixtures
EV conduit installation that will support future electric fleet vehicles
The ribbon cutting for the event will be around noon on Monday. FOX21 will have a reporter at the event and will have more information later Monday night.
